M-Files Add-in for SharePoint Online

The Add-in is used to bring content from other systems and repositories into Teams Channels or the SharePoint Online view. Your company administrator can set up the views to support your business requirements, bringing together all daily content in your familiar Office 365 user interfaces.

M-Files SharePoint Online Connector

The Connector connects M-Files and SharePoint Online so that content in SharePoint Online can be found, accessed and managed in M-Files via M-Files Desktop, Web, and Mobile. It enables the usage of M-Files content intelligence and workflows to automate document management. You can also add M-Files metadata to SharePoint documents and then show documents in M-Files, SharePoint and other connected repositories in a singular dynamic view. You might, for example want to specify expiration date for contracts in SharePoint document library and then create a notification rule to alert contract owners of soon expiring contracts. You can also browse metadata relationships via the tree view in M-Files to see documents related to a particular customer, case or project.

Note: Now there is also a signed version of M-Files Connector for SharePoint Online available. In a shared M-Files Cloud environment, you can install only signed applications. You must have the Full control of vault rights to install signed applications.

Note: Signed versions have different M-Files version requirements compared to unsigned versions.

Important: From the version 22.2.58.0 onwards, new connector connections will use Azure AD App-Only principal to access resources needed to index the external repository, fetch object permissions and import AD groups with members. The new connector version will also change the current user authentication mechanism from OAuth authorization to Azure AD application authentication.
