M-Files Discovery finds business critical information within large document archives. M-Files Discovery can be used to automatically classify and categorize documents, as well as find Personally Identifiable Information (PII). It can automatically set metadata, as well as update document permissions and initiate workflows in your M-Files vault.

Automatically examine the contents of M-Files Vaults and connected repositories. Analyze a one-time batch, only incremental changes, or periodically reprocess everything.
Categorize Documents
Find and categorize documents based on key phrases and patterns. For example, find documents that are confidential and assign the appropriate permissions and safeguards.
Find Critical Information like PII
Find documents that contain various forms of PII, like credit card numbers and national identification numbers. Then, for example, initiate a workflow so those documents will be properly handled.
Automatically Classify Documents
Paired with M-Files Smart Classifier, you can automatically classify your documents. For example, find all contracts or invoices hiding on your shared network drive.
