M-Files for Adobe Acrobat Sign
The M-Files for Adobe Acrobat Sign integration allows businesses to standardize and streamline how they collect digital or electronic signatures. Documents that are managed in M-Files can be sent for a secure and legally binding e-signature using the Adobe Acrobat Sign cloud service.
Product Description
What are the business benefits? The Adobe Acrobat Sign integration helps businesses:
- Close deals more effectively and quickly which reduces time spent to secure revenue and deliver value for the customer.
- Improve customer experience, as well as bolster reputation and competitiveness.
- Ensure that no deal is delayed because staff doesn’t have the proper tools to draft and send new agreements efficiently.
- Enable drafting and establishing new agreements from any desktop or device.
- Assist efforts to manage projects on time, within scope, and on budget in environments where subcontractor and external party agreements are critical to project completion.
Here are some notable features and perks:
- Easy to implement in new and existing vaults.
- Integrates seamlessly with the M-Files workflow engine.
- The sender can receive e-signature status notifications whenever the signer/recipient does something with the agreement (i.e. cancels, delegates, or signs).
- Documents can be signed by both M-Files users and external persons.
- eSignatures are legally binding. With a certificate-based digital signature, every signer is issued a digital ID in the form of a certificate from a trust service provider (TSP), such as a certificate authority (CA).
Can you give me an example of how to use it? Businesses can use this solution to expedite and establish:
- Agreements with new customers
- Business agreements and partnerships like SOWs, NDAs, Memoranda of Understanding, and Distribution Agreements
- Employment contracts and other HR-related agreements
Here’s a scenario: Using M-Files, a sales manager creates and drafts an agreement. The entire drafting and internal review process is managed by M-Files. Once it’s drafted and ready for signature, the sales manager can use the M-Files workflows to either 1). bypass editing in Adobe Acrobat Sign and send it to straight to the recipient for review and signature, or 2). send the agreement to the Adobe Acrobat Sign web services for further editing before sending it out for signing. If the sales manager chooses the latter option, the sales manager can then use the editing features in the Adobe Acrobat Sign web service to create and place all sorts of fields in the agreement, such as signature fields, initials, age, date, company, stamps, etc. Once all the fields are set, the sales manager can then send it off for signing. The receiver will then receive an email notifying them that an agreement is ready for their review and signature in Adobe Acrobat Sign. The receiver can then review and electronically sign the agreement. Once signed, the sales manager is notified by email, while the M-Files file is automatically updated with the new signed version and the workflow state advances to indicate that the document has indeed been signed is good to go.
What are the technical requirements? To get this integration up and running, you need:
- M-Files online (June 2023 Update) or newer
- Valid M-Files Add-on license key for the Adobe Acrobat Sign integration application
- Active Adobe Acrobat Sign subscription with API enabled or trial account
