Text Analytics and Matcher can both generate similar kind of metadata suggestions based on document content, but their main extraction principle is different: M-Files Matcher provides metadata suggestions based on information found in the document by matching it to the vault metadata (for example, the name of an existing customer in the vault). M-Files Text Analytics, on the other hand, provides metadata suggestions based on individual metadata suggestion rules and can produce metadata suggestions that are not based on existing metadata (for example, a new company name appearing in the document, one that is not an existing customer in the vault).
